During the current bus driver shortage, UVA students have joined the "Walking Bus" initiative lead by teachers and parents and in which we walk around 20 minutes with groups of children to and from elementary school.
Currently, we are going every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning from 6:45am - 8am to help children walk to Clark Elementary. We create carpools for volunteers to get there and back.
We accept all volunteers and ask volunteers to try to come at least once a week but we are flexible :)
